About Me

I am an advocate of care, laughter, joy and learning. It is extremely important to enhance growth in children, and I will utilize my passion, as well as my experience in Montessori philosophy to make this happen. I would also like to create a long-term relationship with the parents, to show that I don’t shy away from what I teach the little ones.

Your children’s growth and intelligence are imperative to me, both short term and long term. Therefore I created Growing Smart Kids, to be the foundation of your child’s intelligence, independence, and happiness.

Services

Growing strong, means removing all crutches that cripple toddlers, and providing them all the ladders they need to grow physically, mentally and emotionally. I will be using the 4 bold pillars listed below, to create an environment where your child will continuously love and grow in. I will also teach and work in partnership with you, the parents, to enhance this environment together. Hand in hand, your child will be a happy, growing smart kid!

- Communication

Communication is key to growth. I will spend time diligently in teaching how to read, express emotions through facial recognition, and mannerisms.

- Exercise

Keeping active is important for your children’s health. We’ll be doing outdoor activities for at least one hour in the day. Shine, rain or snow, we’re always set to go!

- Food

Good nutrition is an asset to maintain good health, growth, and a good growing mindset.

- Fun

Keeping things fun is a major factor in a child’s life! Making communication fun is easy! Learning all the mannerisms from sharing, the words “please” “thank you”, tobanimal sounds. How do we make exercise fun? By turning walking to jumping, hopping and strolling through nature.

Turning nutrition fun is by simply spreading the responsibility and helping your child feel involved in preparation of the food. This will also assist in taking responsibility in house chores and overall helping the child feel at home.

Testimonial

I would definitely recommend Fernanda. Fernanda demonstrated an extreme joy while working for us, and it’s clear that she is passionate about her field. Not only was she loving and caring, but she took the initiative to start teaching my son to read, learn math and also start potty training. She is kind, smart, trustworthy and great with children. It is clear she loves working with children, and always has creative ideas for activities, such as art and music and singing. Additionally, she encouraged my son to have a love of the outdoors, even in the winter. She kept my son learning, playing and safe. I highly recommend her.

"This is a letter of recommendation for Fernanda Ordonez. Fernanda worked with our family in 2018 She took care of my two daughters, ages 2.5 and 8 months. She is incredibly warm, and it is obvious how much she cares for children and enjoys being around them. She spends her time with the kids singing to them, playing with them at their level, and is always incredibly responsive and affectionate. She focuses completely on them when she is with them, Her enthusiastic nature is quite refreshing, and she was easily able to engage with both of our girls and is a pleasure to talk to. During her time with us she went above and beyond, including bringing learning activities from home for both of the girls, and even getting involved in planting in our yard to show my daughter how to garden. My daughter loves her tomato plant and is so proud each time she picks a ripe one! I whole-heartedly recommend Fernanda to anyone who is looking for excellent care for their child. She is reliable, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, extremely loving. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions."

Fernanda contributed to the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of our twin boys from about 6 to 12 months of age. We enjoyed how much she brought nature and the outdoors into their lives (even in Winter!) and encouraged growth and development through exercise and movement. We appreciated her care, attention, and support of good health and nutrition. We found her respectful of our needs and the babies. She cared for them, and cared about them. We were very happy to have her in our lives.
